How can women be protected from harassment and violence?

A preventive event was held at the Information Resource Center of the Andijan Machine-Building Institute to prevent crime and offenses among women, and to combat harassment and violence.

It was attended by faculty deans' advisors, tutors, and female students.

At the meeting, held as an open dialogue, Maftuna Najmiddinova, senior inspector for women's issues of the crime prevention group of the public security service of the Andijan city department for coordinating internal affairs activities, provided information about recent violations and crimes. She expressed her views on crimes involving female students and the factors behind them.

In addition, she discussed measures being taken to prevent crimes and offenses by women and offered advice on what to do in processes related to unstable families on the verge of divorce.

At the event, Mukhtaramkhon Khalikova, an adviser to the institute's rector on women's issues, spoke about family stability and noted that the institute provides all necessary conditions for girls to study professions, acquire knowledge, learn languages, and engage in sports.
