The first Uzbekistan-Italy Education Forum, aimed at further strengthening relations between the two countries in the field of higher education, was held at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.
The forum, co-chaired by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratboy Sharipov and the Italian Minister of Universities and Research Anna Maria Bernini, was attended by representatives from the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research along with about 25 higher educational institutions under its purview, as well as rectors from more than 40 leading universities of our country.
Umid Turdialiev, Rector of Andijan Machine-Building Institute and Doctor of Technical Sciences, is also participating in this forum. During the event, the rector, together with Emanuele Tondi, vice-rector of the University of Camerino, which has a long history in Italy, planted a tree in the garden of the Turin Polytechnic University.
