Respect and esteem for representatives of other religions and nationalities is a noble human quality

A round table discussion was held at the Andijan Machine-Building Institute on preventing offenses and various internal and external threats that lead to escalation of hostility against interethnic harmony and religious tolerance.

Students from the Faculties of Intellectual Management and Computer Systems, Automotive Engineering, and Electrical Engineering participated in the event.

M. Halikova, a member of the Republican "Ma'rifat" Propagandists Society; Major U. O'tbosarov, Senior Operational Representative of the Anti-Terrorism Department of the Andijan City Internal Affairs Coordination Office; Captain Sh. Zuhriddinov, Operational Representative of the Department; and Major I. Qahhorov, Prevention Inspector of the institute, shared their views on the topic.

The speakers emphasized that historical sources frequently mention how peoples of different nationalities and faiths have lived peacefully in our country for thousands of years, how our ancestors always treated representatives of other religions with respect, and how they worked side by side for the development of the Motherland.

It was also noted that, just as rice has its chaff, there are instances of negative attitudes towards representatives of other nationalities and religions among our compatriots, resulting in various offenses, and that there are legal consequences for such actions in our legislation.

At the end of the round table, the student participants received answers to their questions from the specialists.
