In accordance with the instructions of the Head of the state, a number of practical works are being carried out in Andijan region on the basis of the "From Poverty to Prosperity" program.
In order to ensure the implementation of the program, the rector of the Andijan Machine-Building Institute is assigned to households with a low standard of living, which are included in the social register of residents of the "Zakhkash" mahalla in the Balykchin district.
On September 18, the rector of the institute, Umid Turdialiev, visited this mahalla and, together with the assistant khokim Kozimjon Turgunov, studied the living conditions of the families attached to them and the issues that concern them.
During the study, citizens S. U., N. T. and M. M. said that they knew about sewing and that if they had their own sewing machines, they would have the opportunity to stay at home and earn income.
Based on their appeals, it was decided to provide subsidies and assistance in obtaining preferential loans through commercial banks. It also helps to form the initial working capital and find customers.
For example, their first customer is an institute, which sews sheets for students' dormitories. This service is paid for. As a result, these women also receive their initial income.
