An Art Therapy session was conducted at the Information Resource Center of the Andijan Machine-Building Institute, aimed at strengthening mental health in the team, further enhancing team unity while relieving teachers and students from fatigue and stress.
Female students from the Faculty of Intellectual Management and Computer Systems participated in the session, which was organized on the initiative of Mukhtaram Khalikova, the Advisor to the Rector of the Institute on Women's Issues.
During the session, experts provided interpretations and advice on the drawings made by the girls, the colors they used, and the images and symbols they employed. Based on this, the character of each girl was analyzed.
For information, art therapy is one of the approaches in psychotherapy and psychological correction based on the use of art and creativity, which has a positive impact on psycho-emotional state. It also improves mood and alleviates nervous and emotional stress. Furthermore, it develops interpersonal behavior, self-esteem, imagination, aesthetic experience, and creative self-expression, while enhancing creative abilities.
During the event, Barnoxon Yakubova, senior lecturer of the Department of Humanities and psychologist; Kudratilla Turgunov, tutor of the Faculty of Economics and specialist in fine arts; and Oybahorkhon Sotiboldiyeva, advisor to the dean of the Faculty on women's issues, provided information about the main goal of art therapy - the possibility of harmonizing mental state through self-expression and the development of self-awareness.
