Our institute will establish cooperation with the Indian Institute of Technology

Rector of Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences Umid Turdialiyev is currently in the Republic of India.

During the trip, the rector visited the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi and got acquainted with the activities of the institution. He inspected scientific laboratories, production and technical service centers.

He met with the Dean of International Programs of the Institute, Professor James Gomes and the Coordinator of International Programs, Srishti Joshi, and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, negotiations were held on internships of scientific and pedagogical staff in information technologies, mechatronics and robotics and other fields, as well as the organization of exchange programs for the development of bilateral academic mobility, the opening of a joint educational program in a number of educational fields from the 2025-2026 academic year, and other issues.


At the end of the negotiations, it was agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation between higher education institutions.
For reference, the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi was established in 1961 and is one of the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology. The institute is among the best universities in the world for technical education. In 1963, the institution was designated as an "Institute of National Importance" and recognized by the government as an "Institute of Excellence".
