A roundtable discussion on "Religion and state relations, religious and secular harmony in Uzbekistan" was held at the Faculty of Intellectual Management and Computer Systems of the Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute.

Akmal Ermatov, the first vice-rector of the institute, Sanjarbek Mamanazarov, the imam-khatib of the "Oktepa" mosque in Oltinkol district, Mahmud Mukhtorov, the dean of the faculty of intellectual management and computer systems, and Izzatillo Kakhorov, the preventive inspector of the institute, professors and students participated.

Those who spoke at the event, which was held in the style of free dialogue, spoke about the political unrest in some countries of the world, their real nature, as well as the value of peace in our country, ensuring the safety of citizens, and the violations committed among young people, and expressed their opinions about the measures to prevent them.

During the event, the expert discussed the main principles of relations between the state and religion in Uzbekistan, the role and position of religion in the rule of law, civil society, the strong legislative foundation created in the field, as well as the wide promotion of the ideas of religious tolerance and inter-ethnic harmony among young people, educating them in the spirit of secularism and patriotism, and It was reported about the unfortunate situations that arise as a result of joining different currents.

During the event, a video on the topic was shown, and experts gave detailed answers to the questions asked by the students.
