A conference of universities specializing in the engineering and technical fields of Uzbekistan and Russia was held in Tashkent on the topic "Prospects of higher technical education in the conditions of scientific and technical development".
More than 35 rectors of higher educational institutions, industry experts, heads of ministries and departments from Uzbekistan and Russia, including the rector of Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences Umid Turdialiyev took part in it.
A number of cooperation agreements were signed within the plenary session of the conference.
In particular, a memorandum on bilateral cooperation was signed with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University named after Peter the Great on expert and methodical support in the implementation of the Advanced Engineering Schools project of the Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering.
According to it, it is envisaged that the parties will conduct activities for the joint development of the project, organize additional educational programs for training and retraining of personnel for educational and scientific practice, specialized consultations, expert evaluations and monitoring. Organization and holding of mutual visits and joint events, including thematic conferences and forums, exchange of information on activities, coordination, preparation and publication of materials, publications and digests, preparation of training manuals and literature are also defined.
