Under the chairmanship of the rector of the Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences Umid Turdialiyev, an extended meeting dedicated to strengthening preventive measures aimed at preventing crime among students was held.
Vice-rectors, faculty deans and their deputies, heads of departments, tutors, advisers on women's issues took part in it.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that it is our civic duty to protect young people from various negative vices, threats and factors that lead to delinquency and crime, to show them the right path, not to be indifferent to our future.
Also, the speakers gave opinions and suggestions about the important tasks aimed at the systematic organization of preventive work aimed at the early prevention of delinquency, crime, and meaningful spending of free time among students.
"Keeping in mind that our future is in the hands of young people, we should all work together to ensure that they do not commit crimes or misdemeanors, but good and creative initiatives. Because it is better to prevent a criminal than to punish him", said the rector in his speech.
It was explained at the meeting that holding various contests and competitions by enriching the spiritual world of young people, promoting reading, physical education and sports will be the main factor in preventing the occurrence of crimes.
