In Uzbekistan, guaranteeing and protecting human rights and freedoms is a priority of the state policy, and in the years of independence, a national system for the protection of human rights was created in our country. In our constitution, codes, and laws, human will and dignity have been strengthened as the highest value.
One of the important indicators of ensuring human rights is ensuring gender equality of women. In recent years, a number of efforts have been made in this regard.
In particular, with a number of laws, a strong system of reliable protection of the rights of women and children, prevention of violence committed against them was created, and accountability measures for such actions were strengthened.
Special attention was paid to these issues at the roundtable discussion on "Strengthening public control in creating an atmosphere of intolerance towards oppression and violence against women in society" held at the Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute.
