Amon Matjon: "Unlike the previous ones"

A literary-educational evening dedicated to the life and work of the People's Poet of Uzbekistan Omon Matjon was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Technology of the Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering on the topic "Unlike the Previous Ones".

Members of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, Arif Meliyev and Durbek Koldoshev, the head of the department of work with youth, spirituality and enlightenment Mukhtaramkhan Haliqova, professors and teachers of the faculty, advanced and talented students, and writers of literature took part in it.

During the event, the students performed poems and songs of the poets' works, performed stage performances, and shared a festive mood with those gathered.

At the literary evening, a detailed discussion was held about the poet's life and creative path, the importance of his poems and epics, and the songs sung with his poems, which became the soul property of our people. It was said that his poems such as "Um otar...", "Smile", "If you know who I am", "You are not like the previous ones" were sung by famous artists of our nation and became masterpieces of our national singing.

It was also recognized that the artist's human qualities were extremely sensitive, well-spoken, honest and generous.

At the event, it was noted that the work of Amon Matjon, the great poet of the ancient Khorezm nation, who took an active part in the literary process, left a noble name and a beautiful creative heritage, and made a significant contribution to the development of Uzbek literature, occupied a deep place in the hearts of all lovers of literature and will live forever. Samples of Amon Matjon's poems were read.
