A roundtable discussion on "Religious tolerance is a national value inherited from our ancestors" was held at the Faculty of Transport and Logistics of the Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute.


The event was attended by Akmaljon Ermatov, the first vice-rector of the institute for youth issues and spiritual and educational affairs, Anvarjon Islamov, the adviser of the institute rector on ensuring the stability of the social and spiritual environment among students, Nilufarkhan Qabulova, the dean of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics, and Izzatillo Kahhorovlar, the preventive inspector.


The speakers noted that representatives of more than one hundred and thirty nationalities and peoples live together as children of a single family in our country, and noted that in the current process of globalization, the issue of religious tolerance, interreligious harmony, and mutual cooperation is considered one of the most important principles for the peace and development of developed and developing countries.

In addition, it was noted that Islam never promotes evil, on the contrary, it is a religion of creativity, respect for parents, love of the country, it is a pure religion that calls for honest deeds, and the evil actions that some religious groups carry out under the guise of religion do not correspond to this religion at all.


It was also noted that it is important for every person to increase his spiritual and educational level, to form strong immunity against various ideological threats, in particular, extremism, terrorism, radicalism, "Popular culture" and other foreign ideas.
