Working with young people and accelerating this process, returning to active life young people who are separated from society, do not find their place in life, are under the influence of destructive ideas or have entered the wrong streets of life - is the most important and urgent task facing us today.
Taking this into account, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the video selector meeting held on April 11, 2023 on measures to increase the effectiveness of work in the field of youth policy told the heads of enterprises and organizations with state participation and higher education organizations to ensure the employment of the young generation, to cover them with quality education and free set tasks for meaningful organization of their time, social support, and creating a foundation for healthy thinking.
According to this task, Umid Turdialiyev, rector of the Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering, was assigned "special category" young people living in the "Marifat" neighborhood of Andijan. Each of them is provided with socio-economic, psychological and practical assistance within the framework of the law, and solutions to their existing problems are being found.
Yesterday, the rector personally went from house to house in the neighborhood and studied the problems of this category of young people. He held a discussion on ensuring their employment and meaningful organization of free time.
During the meetings, the rector emphasized that such work on solving the problems of youth will be carried out continuously.
After all, working with young people is the most important task of all leaders, the general public, and our entire society.
