At the gathering of citizens of the Sholdirama mahalla of the city of Andijan, together with the Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute and the Vatanparvar organization, a master class on radio design and radio sports was organized.
Students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering took part in it.
As part of the event, Master of Sports in aviation radio engineering, shortwave radio communications, author of popular scientific articles in this area, Anvar Moidinov, gave information about his activities, interests in this area, the radio equipment he had, collected Morse code over the years and worked at a radio station. He also told stories about the activities of radio telegraph operators, radio electronics operators, electronic warfare operators, drone and radar operators.
In addition, he said that in collaboration with a secondary school, a radio sports and radio design club has been organized for the youth of the region, and in the future it is planned to open a collective radio station.
After this, a documentary was shown about the radio communications of the first Uzbek cosmonaut Solijon Sharipov, the home radio museum of Ilkhom Dolimov from Andijan and the Moscow Museum of Radio Amateurs and Electronics, created by Evgeny Sukhoverkhov. The most interesting thing was to install a special antenna and radio station and communicate with foreign radio amateurs using Morse code and a microphone.
The young people received answers to their questions from a radio amateur.
At the end of the event, students toured an exhibit of World War II and early 1950s radios, consumer radios, military and homemade radio equipment installed in the community building.
Handmade radio equipment aroused great interest among participants.
