The Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute hosted a literary and musical evening “Nazm and Navo” in connection with the 583rd anniversary of the birth of Alisher Navoi and the 541st anniversary of the birth of Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur.
At the beginning of the event, it was emphasized that songs performed to the ghazals of such scientists as Navoi and Babur occupy a special place, and these rare works, polished over centuries, have become the property of our people.
Indeed, both scientists in their work and creativity paid special attention to the development of music and musical skill. These aspects are reflected in the studies of musicologists, ethnologists, Navoiologists and Baburologists. At the moment, the songs sung by our thinkers, such as Navoi and Babur, are a vivid example of how rich and colorful our native language is, its uniqueness, beauty, sophistication, and richness of meanings.
In the evening, artists of the Andijan regional branch of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan, Honored Artist Tursunboy Parpiev, singers Adahamjon Abdulkhaev, Mukhayo Tozhimatova, Nilufar Karimova, Samira Kholmatova, Begijon Rakhimov, Sherzod Khabibulaev performed beautiful dances and songs composed by Navoi and Babur.
Of course, every piece of music is beautiful. However, musical examples associated with the names of Navoi and Babur have a deep place in the hearts of our people. These songs are valuable because they serve the appreciation of the Motherland, parents, and enrich the spiritual world of the listener.
