The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations Kungirotboy Sharipov visited the 500-bed student accommodation of the Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute built on the basis of public-private partnership in order to familiarize himself with the conditions created for students.
Currently, 3 thousand 571 students study at Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering. The institute has 3 student residences. 2 of them belong to the institute, and one operates on the basis of public-private partnership.
The residential building, which was built and put into use at the institute on the basis of public-private partnership, has 500 beds, 400 of which are for students. The remaining 100 places are intended for use as a hotel for parents who come to visit students.
Currently, more than 400 students live in this student residence.
The minister got acquainted with their living rooms. In order to further improve the conditions, he carefully examined each room and discussed the problems with the staff on duty, building managers and students.
In addition, students were familiarized with issues such as the heating system, water supply, building security control, and listened to the opinions of the officials.
During the visit, the minister had a friendly conversation with the young people living in TTJ and listened to their opinions and suggestions.
