Since September 18 of the current year began a two-week advanced training course in Riga Technical University of Latvia within the framework of the project "UzMedEn: Development of a new master's program and advanced training courses in the field of medical engineering in Uzbekistan", funded by the European Union Erasmus+ program "Capacity Building in Higher Education-CBHE".
The official opening ceremony of the courses was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Latvia Kadambay Sultanov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Riga Technical University Prof. Elina Gaile-Sarkane, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ivo Vaitsis, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Nanotechnology, Prof. Yuri Dehtjars, academic staff of the University, as well as about 30 professors and lecturers from 7 higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the next two weeks the invited professors from Uzbekistan will have an opportunity to study the best European experience in the field of biomedical engineering.
3 professors and basic doctoral students of the Department of Metrology, Standardization and Product Quality Management of Andijan Machine Building Institute take part in the advanced training courses.
