Within the framework of the international project № UZB-Ind-2021-92 "Development and implementation of micro- and nanoscale (granular) semiconductor thermoelectric materials" for 2021-2023, which will be implemented within the Uzbek-Indian cooperation, the following project participants: L.O. Olimov, A.M. Mamirov, I.T. Khozhimatov were on a business trip to the center at the invitation of the "International Center for Advanced Research in Powder Metallurgy and Materials, India" from May 31 to June 12, 2023.
First we went to the center located in Chennai. The visiting delegation from Uzbekistan was met by a team led by Prof. Raghavan Gopalan from India. Here, experimental work was carried out in scientific laboratories equipped with modern instruments. For example, FRC PCP and MX - Scanning Autoemission Electron Microscopy together with the project coordinator Dr. Manjusha Battabyal studied the samples from Uzbekistan. The samples were then examined in Rigaku, an X-ray and optical inspection system, with doctoral student Dr. Minati Tiadi. The samples were then analyzed on an RC-CR confocal spectrometer.

The next destination was the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Science research center in Madras. There they familiarized themselves with the equipment of the research laboratory and studied the working principle. During the meeting, he was accompanied by the Head of the Department "Department of Metallurgy and Materials Science", Prof. Ravi Kumar, who briefed him in detail about the research work being carried out in the research laboratories of the department. Information about the working mechanism of existing laboratory equipment and instruments and research technology was given.
In the future it was agreed to create new projects and further strengthen cooperation with Andijan Machine-building Institute and Chennai Madras Institute of Technology. Cooperation on scientific research between the Department of Materials Science and Technology of New Materials and the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Science of Andijan Machine-building Institute were discussed.
During the visit from June 2 to June 10 practical press conferences were held with research workers and young scientists of the International Center for Advanced Research of Powder Metallurgy and Materials. Scientific achievements were shared, further plans of the project were discussed.
In the second half of the trip the city of Hyderabad was visited. First, a meeting was held there with Tata Narasinga Rao, Director of ARCI.
Press conferences with practical sessions with ARCI researchers and young scientists in Hyderabad city were organized, scientific achievements were shared, and further plans for the project were discussed. Description of new samples received by Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering was studied.
During the meeting Prof. L.O. Olimov proposed to ARCI Director Tata Narasing Rao to open a branch of ARCI in Andijan region and conduct scientific research. This proposal was supported by Indian partners. In the near future within the framework of this cooperation it is planned to establish the Andijan branch of the research center "International Center for Advanced Research in Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI)".
