On May 10 this year at the Andijan Machine-building Institute on the basis of decision PD-4851 "On further improvement of education in information technology, the development of research and their integration with the IT industry", was held a regional stage of the Scientific Olympiad in Computer science and information technology to support talented young people and select them for higher education among graduates of secondary schools together with the Agency for School and Pre-school Education.
The Olympiad was organized in two stages. First, students' knowledge of natural sciences was tested with a test. The applicants who scored more than 70 points in the test took part in the written work stage. There were also short question and answer sessions on the written work to get a clearer picture of the students' knowledge.
In order to ensure a transparent and fair conduct of the Olympiad, employees of The Anti-corruption Department of the Compliance Control Department of the Institute and members of The Anti-corruption student-youth club took part in it.
By results of scientific Olympiad the following results were fixed:
1st place - the son of Yunusov Mukhammadali Gayratzhon, a student of 11th grade 17-DIMI of Jalakuduk district;
2nd place - the son of Tursunov Khusanboy Anafia, a 11th grade student of School 15 of Balykchy District;
3rd place - the son of Abduvaliev Dilerbek Elerbek, a grade 8 student of Asaka district.
