On April 7, 2018, a promotional event was held on the theme "Constitution in the New Uzbekistan" with the slogan "I am not indifferent to the referendum" with the participation of students of the Faculty of Economics. The event was led by the rector of the institute Umid Turdialiev. In the beginning, Umid Turdialiev said that participation in a national referendum on the new version of the Constitution, which will be held on April 30, is the right and obligation of every citizen of Uzbekistan who is not indifferent to the future.
After that, they began talking about changes to the updated constitution. He noted that the education system is being radically reformed along with the renewed laws in many spheres of our society.
Article 41 of the updated constitution guarantees that talented youth will continue their education regardless of their financial situation, and in addition to this article, the state supports the development of science and the establishment of scientific relations with the world scientific community. This shows that the attention to science has reached a new level. At the meeting it was also noted that in the updated constitution the full protection of copyright works in the field of science, art and culture is strengthened by a separate article.
It was noted that the changes made in the draft law of the Constitution are aimed only at serving the interests of the people, which is a sign of the high value of man in our country. During the meeting the students were informed about the procedure of the referendum and participation in it. The rector emphasized the need to further increase the sense of involvement of all young people in the political process taking place in our country, and urged students to be active in this regard.
