An event dedicated to the 540th anniversary of the birth of our compatriot Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, a king and commander, an outstanding poet who made a worthy contribution to world science and culture, was held in Babur Square in Andijan.
Initially, representatives of regional, district and city authorities, enterprises and organizations, as well as scientists from India, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and America, members of the public and students laid flowers at the statue of our great-grandfather as a sign of respect.
Those who spoke at the event expressed detailed views on the value of the literary and scientific heritage left by our great ancestor Zahiruddin Muhammad Babur, which for centuries was revered as a rare treasure of world literature.
The poet's charming ghazals, rubai and masnavi, the world-famous "Boburnoma", and masterpieces of musical scholarship testify to his work.
It was recognized that the historical and memoir work "Boburnoma", considered to be a unique example of artistic prose, is in museums in more than 70 countries, this masterpiece has been translated into more than 30 languages.
During the event, guests and followers of Babur read ghazals and important poems written by him and turn his poems to music.
The team of our institute under the leadership of Umid Turdialiev actively participated in this event.
