January 31 this year our institute was visited by bioengineer Roger Schmitt, who worked as the head of medical equipment management at the headquarters of the World Health Organization, was an expert of German international cooperation projects in Uzbekistan in 2011-2019 together with Murotova Nigorahon, associate professor of the Department of Medical Technology and Innovative Technologies, Ph.D. in public health and Urolboyev Javohir, assistant of the Department of Medical Technology and Innovative Technologies, master bioengineer.
During the visit to the Medical Technology Center, created on the basis of the Department of Metrology, Standardization and Product Quality Management in the field of biomedical engineering, about the mechanism of implementation of simulation equipment and standards for objective assessment of acquired skills, the procedure for receiving the patient for manipulations recommendations were given on the training program for teachers and instructors, organization of service (repair and maintenance of medical equipment), equipment of treatment and diagnostic centers with modern higher. At the same time it was stressed that the biomedical engineering in Uzbekistan is given great attention in the course of SES project implementation and more intensive development of services. Getting acquainted with the state-of-the-art equipment at Andijan Machine-building Institute, the experts stressed that great attention has been paid in Uzbekistan to education, that medical equipment meets world standards and the latest high technologies are being introduced. The guests' visit to Andijan will last for three days.
