Uzbekistan's policy of openness, its active entry into the world market, the expansion of international cooperation in all spheres increase the need for knowledge of foreign languages. The issue of learning a foreign language by young people is one of the important issues facing our country in recent years. There is a deep meaning in the wise sayings of our people, such as "Language knows, people know". It is also no exaggeration to say that young people who have mastered foreign languages well gain the key to knowing the world. Young people who receive the key to knowing the world will be the foundation of the 3rd Renaissance. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stresses in every speech on youth and education that learning foreign languages is the need of the hour. For example, today, December 20, he mentioned that the same issue is on the agenda in an address to the Oliy Majlis. The Andijan Machine-building Institute is systematically working to stimulate students' interest in foreign languages and strengthen their language skills. In particular, foreign language examinations, scientific Olympiads and debate competitions are held. One of such events is the exhibition "SCHOOLS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE" devoted to 30-year anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, December 20 this year together with the Department of "Uzbek language and literature" and the Department of Youth and Spirituality Affairs passed institute stage of competition.
Six teams won the competition at the faculty level: "Infinity" of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, "Mechanical Technology" of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, "Economists" of the Faculty of Economics, "Unique" of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The teams "Perfect" of the Faculty of Intelligent control and computer systems, the team "Future Developers" of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics competed with each other. Each team fulfilled such conditions as an introduction in English, blitz-questions and free theme. The event was filled with lively discussion and forced students to work as a team. At the end of the competition, the "Economists" team of the Faculty of Economics won third place, the "Perfect" team of the Faculty of IC and CS won second place and the "Mechanical Technology" team of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering won first place diplomas. The competition was attended by specialists of the Andijan regional representative office of the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Languages under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who awarded the contestants with souvenirs.
