The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan set the urgent task of planting 200 million tree and shrub saplings per year as part of the "Green Land" nationwide project, thereby increasing the green spaces in cities from the current 8% to 30%.
The team of the Andijan machine-building Institute also contributes to this project. Today, on November 22, 200 vine seedlings were planted in the territory of the building of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering of the institute and the buildings of the 2nd student residence. Before that, 1000 pomegranate bushes and 120 ornamental paulownia trees were planted.
The saplings were planted by active young people of the primary organization of the Institute, the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, under the leadership of Umid Mukhtaraliyevich, the rector of the institute. Within the framework of the "Green Space" nationwide project, seedling planting will continue.
