On October 21, 1989, the Law "On the State Language" was adopted in our country on defining the legal basis of the state language, according to which the Uzbek language was given the status of the state language. Our mother tongue, which is one of the sacred values of our people, got its legal status and protection.
According to the law, October 21 is designated as the holiday of the Uzbek language.
