Energy saving in faculties of Andijan Machine Building Institute

Our buildings have been under renovation for several years in order to control and improve their energy efficiency. Each operation is developed along the following lines of action:

  • reduce energy consumption
  • reduce the greenhouse effect

For example, repair works are:

  • strengthening the insulation of the roof
  • installation of solar panels
  • isolation of ventilation channels
  • covering the exterior of buildings with thermal insulation materials
  • replacement of lighting lamps with LED lamps and automation of their operation
  • installation of solar water heating devices for heating water in kitchens and student residences
  • replacement of external windows with thermo-insulated windows

Green energy

Today, the Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering implements several projects based on the program of wide use of alternative energy. In the 4th quarter of 2023, solar panels with a capacity of 100 kWh were installed in the main building of the Institute. This project saved 22.3 thousand kW out of the electricity planned for the quarter. The efficient utilization of green energy is being accelerated at the institute and 4 units of 100 kWh solar panels and 1 unit of 60 kWh solar panel are scheduled to be installed between May and August. Initially 34% of the institute's demand was covered by solar energy through panels installed in 2023, and by the end of August 2023 it is planned to reach 75% through newly installed panels. As per the green energy program being implemented in 2023, the institute will generate 660 kW of electricity per hour. Also, due to the fact that electricity consumption is reduced during the summer months, the surplus energy is expected to be sold to external consumers. The institute's green energy program is being implemented in 2023 and is expected to reach 75% by the end of 2023.

An institute student has designed a car that runs on solar energy

These cars get their energy from the sun. It is charged within 2.5 hours in the open air. It covers a distance of 40-60 km on a single charge. It works quietly without harming the nature. Its speed reaches 45-60 km/s.
