In 1976, it was established as the Andijan branch of the Tashkent Institute of National Economy. In 1986, Andijan was transformed into the Institute of Management and Economics. Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 211 of June 3, 1995 "On improving the system of higher education in the Republic of Uzbekistan" established the Andijan Institute of Management and Economics and the Andijan Institute of Engineering and Economics on the basis of the Andijan Experimental Training Center. Resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-1533 of May 20, 2011 and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 214 of July 25, 2011 on the transformation of the Andijan Institute of Engineering and Economics into the Andijan machine-building institute; Andijan machine-building institute was established on the basis of the Andijan Institute of Engineering and Economics.
